Welcome to My McCain Blog

Hi, this is MyMcCainBlog here. Not affiliated with Sen. John McCain's staff, or his reelection campaign in any way. I'm just an average Arizona resident who's a big fan of Sen. John McCain. Sen. John McCain may not be running for president any more, but this year he's up for the senate reelection. Support him by giving to his campaign, or donate your time! I know I will. Thanks for all your support. If you're ever in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa or anywhere in the Maricopa County region, please consider joining up with the local McCain reelection effort.

A John McCain quote:

“Our political differences, now matter how sharply they are debated, are really quite narrow in comparison to the remarkably durable national consensus on our founding convictions.”

Get Your Outdoor Shades Ready

Arizona is a hot, dry state with a lot of sunshine. It is commonly recommended that people install a set of outdoor shades for the purposes of keeping the house cool, and reducing energy consumption (and hence energy costs). A scientific study showed that putting in some outdoor shades easily reduced temperatures by 10 degrees compared to unshaded areas. Types of outdoor shades include awnings, canopies, shade sails, umbrellas, pergolas and arbors.

News

Recently Sen. John McCain has been racking up endorsements. He got the approval of eight sheriffs across broad swathes of Arizona for his reelection bid this year. The sheriffs joined him at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 in the city of Phoenix.

"I'm honored and humbled to receive endorsements from so many Arizona sheriffs who work tirelessly to keep our state safe and secure," McCain said.

In the endorsement, one of the Sheriffs praised Sen. McCain's role in politics both on the national stage as well as in Arizona.

"Our country is facing challenging times and Arizona needs a leader in Senator John McCain, who is not only dedicated to the defense of our nation, but focused on getting Arizona back on the right track,"
Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County.

Another sheriff supports him for his economic stance and his positive relations with the law enforcement branch of Arizona.

Sheriff Tom Sheahan of Mohave County said, "I've been in law enforcement for over 38 years and I believe it is more important now, more than ever to have John McCain representing Arizona in the U.S. Senate. Senator McCain is committed restoring the faith of the American people back in government by promoting economic prosperity and working with law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods and communities safe."
